Limited Edition of Steve McQueen Mustang
Creating a famous movie car that is based on the limited edition Ford Mustang might not be something really new. However now, Gateway Classic Mustang is trying to take a rather different approach. The company which is originated from St. Louis has now partnered with Steve McQueen Estate in order to produce the modern rendition of 1968 Ford Mustang which is shown in the movie Bullitt.
Each of the car will begin as a standard ’67 or ’68 Mustang fastback that is fitted with the 450 horsepower V8 engine, Keisler five speed transmission, Baer brakes, BF Goodrich tires, and the American Racing wheels, while the suspension also has some overwork in it with and adjustable coilovers in the front and rear side.
Gateway Classic Mustang is claiming that they are now taking their orders for the Limited Edition Steve McQueen Mustang. Although there is still no word at all on the pricing, you can see the ‘limited edition’ tag on this car which is indicated that it won’t be cheap. But judging from the picture above, I think the car will be worth every penny that you spend.

New Saab 9-3 Will Use New Modular Platform
Autocar is reporting that Saab is trying to be more modular. Saab seems like staying away from their plan to significantly update their previous plan to bring the modified version of Epsilon I from General Motors’ architecture to fulfill their strategy of clean sheet design.
Autocar said that they get this information from their sources inside Saab’s headquarters who said that the engineers there are now whittling away for a versatile platform which is later will be the basis of their car from the 9-2 model to the lengthy 9-7 and anything between it. Yes, it will include the 9-5, 9-4x, and 9-3 model which is already confirmed for production. The rumored 9-1 model seems like also using different structure.
Those stuffs sounds pretty good, but it is actually against every previous rumors circulating about Saab’s plans. Previously, the CEO of Saab, Victor Muller, said the successor of 9-3 model will be based on the highly changed Epsilon I from General Motors, so they will claim the chassis to be their own property. However, 9-3 is including in Saab’s funded business plan, so I don’t think that this Swedish automaker will added their budget to develop that all new platform.
