The agoraphobic YouTube star: British singer is a huge hit in China

By CLAIRE ELLICOTT

Home studio: Jemma Hixon from Malvern, Worcestershire, who is agoraphobic, has become an internet sensation

Blessed with a beautiful singing voice and a talent for song-writing, Jemma Pixie Hixon had always dreamed of becoming a star.

But her fledgling career came to a halt when she developed agoraphobia, a condition which left her so frightened of the outside world she has been unable to leave her house for two years.

So she decided to film herself singing in a makeshift recording studio in her bedroom in Malvern, Worcestershire, using a webcam then post the footage on the internet.

YouTube star: Jemma Pixie Hixon has racked up 2.3m views of her YouTube cover songs, despite battling agoraphobia for two years

Thanks to those recordings Miss Hixon, 20, is now a big name in China and Japan, and more than two million have watched her performances on the video-sharing website YouTube.

She performs a mixture of covers of chart hits and her own songs, and last month, one video achieved ‘most viewed’ status in China.

She said: ‘For the last two years I’ve been struggling with agoraphobia. I used to perform all the time and I really wanted a way I could continue.

‘I decided to put my songs up on YouTube so I could share them with lots of people, even though I’m still housebound.’

Household name: The 20-year-old's performances made her videos the 'most viewed' in China last month

Miss Hixon, who lives with her parents Tonia, 50, and Mark, 49, in a six-bedroom detached home, has never suffered stage fright and even once sang on live television.

She said: ‘When I was 13 I won a competition on The Saturday Show on BBC1 to sing with the Sugababes.

‘I sang on live TV and it didn’t bother me at all, but I just turn into a big panic ball when I try to leave the house.

‘It’s a strange thing because I know logically I have nothing to worry about walking out of the house but it’s a completely different thing when I actually try to do it.’

Ambition: Miss Hixon hopes her online success can help her land a recording contract

‘If I was able to get better – and I know it can happen – I would want to sing because all I have ever wanted to do is to be a recording artist.’

Miss Hixon started suffering panic attacks when she was just six years old and gradually her condition worsened.

She has seen dozens of psychologists and hypnotherapists but they have so far been unable to make any breakthrough.

She said: ‘I want to be cured and lead a normal life and I would love it if my music would help that.

‘I would like to think that one day I will have the courage to leave the house and perform on stage.’

'I love fine foods and hate the gym': Adele reveals she is happy with her weight

By SARAH BULL

Curvy and confident: Adele has revealed she is happy with her weight as she graces the cover of Rolling Stone magazine

She's the larger than life singer who has enjoyed phenomenal success so far this year.

And now Adele has continued her quest for world domination by gracing the cover of America's Rolling Stone magazine in their Best of Rock 2011 issue.

The 22-year-old singer looks stunning on the cover, with her black eyeliner and voluminous hair turning her into a glamourpuss, and insists in the accompanying interview she isn't worried about her weight and is happy with how she looks.

'I like my food': The Someone Like You singer, seen in Dublin earlier this week, said she isn't going to try and change her figure

She said: 'My life is full of drama and I won't have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don't like going to the gym.

'I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don't think I'd get my t**s and a** out for no one.

'I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum.

Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.'

Popular: Adele was bombarded by fans outside Dublin's Olympia Theatre ahead of her show

Adele, who has been top of the UK album charts for the past 11 weeks with her second record 21, also spoke to the magazine about her struggles with stage fright.

She said: 'I'm scared of audiences. One show in Amsterdam I was so nervous I escaped out the fire exit. I've thrown up a couple of times.

'Once in Brussels I projectile vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don't like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot.'

However, Adele admits she took inspiration from her idol Beyoncé as to how to get over her anxiety by channelling Beyoncé's alter-ego Sasha Fierce and coming up with her own version.

The album was inspired by a relationship breakdown and Adele says she will remain eternally grateful to her ex-boyfriend for his part in her life story.

She said: 'He was artistic, but not romantic. We'd just bicker over a cup of tea or the fact that my lighter wasn't working.

'He made me an adult and put me on the road that I'm travelling on.'

Kylie unusual! Glam Ms Minogue looks as if she's about to walk to work in the spring sunshine - but a cab was just round the corner

By JODY THOMPSON

Summertime blues: Kylie Minogue was wearing a stylish navy belted coat dress as she left her London home house before her show at the capital's O2 Arena last night

With a retinue of staff at her beck and call, Kylie Minogue only has to click her fingers and a car will come brmm-ing.

But the star looked like she just wanted a little bit of time to enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine yesterday before she had to hit the road and get to work at London's O2 Arena.

The star looked incredibly chic in a navy blue belted coat dress, cute navy and white cork wedge sandals and black sunglasses, all topped off with a slick of red lipstick.

With her blonde hair up in a tousled French pleat, the star's ensemble looked more suited to taking a lazy tea outside a smart café in town rather than rehearsing in a sweaty venue.

Still, at least she had the night before off, when she headed to London's Garrick theatre for the opening night of her stylist William Baker's Hurly Burly Show, starring burlesque queen Miss Polly Rae.

Kylie was clearly impressed by the saucy show, raunchily writing on her Twitter when she got home: 'Great show tonight @TheMissPollyRae and the cast of @hurlyburlyshow.... T and A!!!!!'

And so to work: Kylie gets into her car and heads off for the first of five nights at London's O2 Arena

The Spinnng Around star was heading east for the last minute finishing touches to the opening date of her five-night stint at the capital's prestigious venue.

It's part of her Aphrodite: Les Folies tour, which kicked off in February in Denmark and winds up in Perth, Australia, on June 22.

The singer seemed excited about the date in her adopted hometown, writing on her Twitter: LONDON! Who is feeling fierce and mighty???? Get your Aphrosizzle on!!! LONDON!!'

The O2 finale is on April 12, before she has a few days off before scheduled dates in Japan starting on April 23.

On stage: Kylie performs one of her numbers on her Aphrodite: Les Folies tour in London last night

Helping hand: Not for the first time yesterday, Kylie got a lift

Kind-hearted Kylie meanwhile invited a group of sick children to go backstage and meet her earlier this week at her gig in Glasgow.

One of them was 12-year-old Colin mcLaren who suffers from the rare genetic condition adrenoleukodystrophy.

He told the Scottish Daily Record: 'Kylie was brilliant. I got a big kiss on my left cheek and she sang my favourite song Higher to me.

'She gave me a rose from the stage too. I've already Facebooked it and everyone is jealous.'

Yangpa makes her comeback on Inkigayo

After a long four year hiatus, female soloist Yangpa finally makes her return to the Inkigayo stage.

Having released her mini album, “Elegy Nouveau“, earlier this week, Yangpa has certainly not lost her touch with her traditional ballad style delivery.

Her title track, “It Hurts“, is a sorrowful track which blends the sounds of piano melodies and string instruments to express the pain of a woman who refuses to let her past love go.

Besides her title track, she also performed her medium-tempo track, “It Should Be You.”

This looks familiar: Kylie kicks up her heels and shows off her slender legs and her petite bottom in a scene almost identical to...

There not many women in their 40s who would have the confidence to show off their derriere in public, let alone flaunt it to millions.

So hats off to Miss Kylie Minogue who had turned back the clock and recreated her Spinning Around days for her new video and flashed her famous bottom once again.

And while it might be ten years since she took the world of pop's breath away with those teeny gold hotpants, with a bottom like that, who can blame her for wanting to show it off again?

The pop star struts around in a blue tassled dress surrounded by backing dancers wearing bright pink feathered shoulder decorations.

Male guitarists rock out behind her with Pac Man style helmets on their heads, while Mickey Mouse-esque lights hang in the background.

Better Than Today is the third single to be taken from Kylie's latest album and is released on December 6.

Let's dance: Kylie stands between two huge white speakers as she launches into her song

Today she was snapped leaving her west London home looking her usual foxy self while clutching a coffee and hiding her tired eyes under oversized sunglasses as she walked along in trendy animal skin print boots.

Last night she appeared on Children in Need on BBC1 and performed Better Than Today while encouraging the public to dig deep for the charity.

Again wearing almost next to nothing, she cuddled up to host Terry Wogan and shared a laugh with presenter Tess Daly as she read the donation phone line out to viewers.

Close couple: Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias head out for a dinner date in Miami last night

Former tennis champion Anna Kournikova served up a sexy look for a date with her long-term boyfriend Enrique Iglesias in Miami last night.

The blonde 29-year-old slipped into camouflage print leather trousers and a black vest top for a romantic dinner at South Beach's Prime One Twelve Italian restaurant with the Spanish singer.

The low-key couple walked into the restaurant with their arms around each other.

Like a true gentleman, Enrique, 35, even held the door open for his girlfriend as they exited proving chivalry certainly isn't dead in their household.

Despite Anna's successful, albeit short, tennis career, she has become more famous for the publicity surrounding her appearance and her personal life than her tennis.

After dating for almost a decade, both Anna and Enrique have dodged rumours that the pair are actually married and have even thought about divorce - both stories the couple have denied.

Anna even wears an enormous yellow diamond ring on her ring finger but has denied it is an engagement ring.

Table for two: The couple enjoyed a romantic night at South Beach's Prime One Twelve Italian restaurant

Last week Anna returned to the court to take part in a pro-celebrity tournament for charity, The Chris Evert Classic held in Miami, Florida.

Anna was paired with rocker Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer of grunge band Bush and husband to No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani.

The pairing did well in the tournament, winning their game against host Chris and her partner, actor Chris Foley.

Robbie Williams cements Take That return with group's first performance in 15 years as a five piece on X Factor

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Back together: Take That (L-R) Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Robbie Williams perform for the first time in 15 years as a five-piece

Take That officially welcomed Robbie Williams back into the group with their first live performance in 15 years on the X Factor last night.

The former solo artist looked thrilled to be back alongside his friends and bandmates Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange as they sang their new single The Flood.

Robbie, whose new wife Ayda was watching from the audience, said it was 'absolutely magical, fantastic' performing with the group again after such a long time.

After wowing the audience with their performance, the group talked to host Dermot O'Leary.

Barlow said: 'The whole day in the dressing room has been as much fun as being on here.'

Despite the hype surrounding Robbie's return to Take That, the group missed out on the No.1 spot to Rihanna's Only Girl (In The World), which clung to the top for the second week running.

Fun and games: Robbie looked he was having fun on stage as he jumped around with Mark

Back where he belongs: Robbie said it felt 'magical' to be back in Take That again

However, with their new album Progress coming out today, the quintet have been heavily tipped for No.1 in the album charts this weekend.

Online retailer Amazon.co.uk said yesterday Progress had become the biggest pre-order release of the year.

Julian Monaghan, head of music buying at Amazon.co.uk, said: 'Take That and Robbie Williams have enjoyed significant chart success over recent years but the demand for this first album with Robbie back in the fold is higher than anything that either of them have achieved before.

Rousing: Gary (left) and Mark sing The Flood, which missed out on the No.1 spot in the singles chart yesterday

'It is going to be a massive seller throughout the Christmas period and with the sell-out tour still to follow, it could be at the top end of the music charts for a long time to come.'

On Friday, the group joined Steve Wright to co-present his Radio 2 afternoon show.
Steve asked Robbie if he was 'embarrassed' to be back in the band, considering all the negative things he'd said about them since he left and the feud he had with Gary.

Heralding his return: Robbie was the first bandmember to sing

Avid listeners: Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh watched the group from the judging table

But Robbie insisted: 'Nobody said anything bad apart from me, so it's fine. We've had two years getting to know each other again. I aired my differences with Gary when we first had our big meet, he aired his with me and since then, it's fine.

'Since the night we all had a big chat, it (the feud) hasn't been on the table as anything to be concerned with.'

When Steve joked about how well the band were ageing however, Robbie joked that he was already considering anti-ageing plastic surgery.

He laughed: 'I'll have everything done. I'll look like Sylvester Stallone's mum.'

Support: Robbie arriving at the X Factor studios on Sunday evening with his wife Ayda Field

Just wait till I'm 18! Miley Cyrus risqué frock exposes a little too much flesh

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OQxZs-wrMQendofvid

[starttext]

By MAIL ONLINE SHOWBIZ REPORTER

US singer Miley Cyrus poses on the red carpet on November 7, 2010 prior the 2010 MTV Europe Music MTV

She's known for wearing increasingly daring outfits that belie her tender years - and going by last night's frock, it seems Miley Cyrus just can't wait until she's 18 to really sex things up.

The Disney star gave a glimpse of a bit more than she intended last night at the MTV EMAs in Madrid when she exposed most of her breast - as well as displaying a rather delicately placed tattoo.

Even though she's too young to go under the needle, Miley has ignored the law and got inked on at least six occasions.

Abreast of the situation?: Perhaps unaware of what she was exposing, Miley posed confidently for the photographers

The Hannah Montana actress previously caused controversy when she posed topless for star snapper Annie Leibowitz aged just 15 for the cover of Vanity Fair.

Last night, she swapped her backless white tiered dress on the MTV EMA red carpet for an even more risque outfit to perform live in.

In an ensemble that left little to the imagination, she sported a jewel-encrusted leotard, fishnet tights and Doc Martens-style lace-up boots.

The star is clearly impatient for the day she actually comes of age on 23 November. And one can only imagine what her wardrobe will look like then.

Licensed to frill: The singer's white tiered dress looked a bit like a toilet roll cover from the front however

The Climb teen idol also flouted rules on Friday night when she was spotted swigging beer in a bar in the Spanish capital after rehearsals for last night's show.

She was criticised in the US, where the legal drinking age is 21, thought no-one seemed bothered in Spain, where the legal age limit of 18 years old is rarely enforced.

And on Saturday night, she was gyrating in a see-through dress to perform her single Who Owns My Heart on Germany's top-rated Saturday night show Wetten Dass.

Vocal gymnastics: Miley wore a jewelled leotard and fishnets for her live performance at the MTV Europe Music Award in Madrid last night

Miley is currently doing her best to put on a brave face following the split of her parents Billy Ray and Tish after 17 years of marriage, after allegations Tish cheated with Poison singer Bret Michaels. Tish is denying the claims.

On top of her parents' separation, Miley also appears to be 'off' again with on/off actor boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Australian Liam, who met Miley in June 2009 on the set of their film The Last Song, has been enjoying the female attention in his home country at the Melbourne Cup races this week.

Transparent: Miley wore a totally see-through dress to reveal her knickers as she performed on German TV show Wetten Dass on Saturday night
The pair dated throughout filming but ended their relationship in August. They appeared to have rekindled the romance in September but have been spending an increasing amount of time apart.

A source tells People magazine: 'Their on-and-off-again relationship is currently off. But you never know with Miley and Liam. They could be back on at some point.'

Adds another source says: 'There was no drama. The relationship just ran its course. They were good friends first and remain friends.'

As for Miley's forthcoming milestone, her birthday wish is for her parents to be reconciled - even temporarily.

She told MTV News: 'My family and I] need time to all be together. "I'm not going to go crazy; [just] have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family...because that would be really cool.

'So that would be rad if we could all go to the beach or something...I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat.'

And of course it would give Miley an excuse to strip down to next to nothing again...

Almost adult Miley Cyrus performs in yet another risque outfit on German television

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSnqswjLTkMendofvid

By ANDREA MAGRATH

Racy: Miley Cyrus performed on German TV show Wetten, dass...? last night in a see-through white dress

She has been dressing much older than her age for quite some time now.

And as of this month Miley Cyrus will be able to wear all the see-through, leather and low-cut outfits she likes without causing a storm of controversy.

The soon-to-be 18-year-old, who reaches the milestone on November 23, was still raising eyebrows last night though when she performed in a sheer white dress that put her underwear on full display.

The revealing dress, made of white tulle material was completely see-through except for a design that slightly covered her stomach and chest.

The Hannah Montana star wore flesh-coloured body stocking beneath but her underwear was still obvious as she performed her new single Who Owns My Heart on German TV show Wetten, dass...?

To add to the risqué performance, Miley gyrated through a provocative routine with her back-up dancers, before settling in for a chat alongside actor Denzel Washington, appearing to promote new film Unstoppable.

The popstar has returned to Madrid today after her brief stint in Germany, where she will perform at the EMA Awards.

Stress: Miley is dealing with the split of her parents Billy Ray and Tish after allegations Tish cheated with Bret Michaels

Miley has remained tight-lipped about her performance, but hinted yesterday that it will feature an 'Angels and Demons' theme.

She told MTV News at rehearsals in Madrid on Friday 'It’s [about the idea] that during this world, you’re always going to have temptation. Basically that’s kind of the whole vibe.'

The Party in the USA singer has been in the Spanish capital ahead of the EMA Awards, and held a fan event on Friday before heading to a bar with friends in the evening.

She was criticised in the US, where the legal drinking age is 21, when she was spotted drinking a Corona beer at the bar, but she was not breaking any laws as the legal drinking age of 18 is a somewhat relaxed rule in Spain.

Top secret: Miley will perform at the EMA Awards in Madrid today, she has hinted the performance will have an 'Angels and Demons' theme

Miley also revealed her desire to spend quality time with her family for her milestone birthday.

Her parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are currently going through a very public split, with allegations emerging this week that Tish had an affair with Bret Michaels.

Tellingly, Miley said of her birthday plans: 'I'm not going to go crazy. Just have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family ... because that would be really cool. I think we need time to all be together.'

She added: 'That would be rad if we could all go to the beach or something. [I have] no idea [where we're going]; somewhere near water. I'm a water baby - I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat.'

Catch up: The popstar chatted to actor Denzel Washington during the taping, who was there to promote new film Unstoppable

On top of her parents' separation, Miley also appears to be 'off' again with on/of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Australian Liam, who met Miley in June 2009 on the set of their film The Last Song, has been enjoying the female attention in his home country at the Melbourne Cup races this week.
